The three investigators Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews also known as "Die drei ???" in Germany, have been a constant throughout my life within radio plays and books. Therefore I decided to illustrate new covers for the radio play of the series by „EUROPA“. Every illustration was created to one episode of the 200 stories recorded for the series.
Robert Arthur dedicates his stories to three teenage detectives who promise to take on every case which comes their way. On their adventures they encounter frightening ghost, rogues and other villains.

The following drawing is summing up episode 3 about the three investigators looking for a valuable art piece about a dog. After their investigation the boys find it in a swimming pool.
To build a cover illustration I identify the key point of the story, for example the stolen item that must be found. Then I am concentrating on this focus point and might add one or two other strings of the story.
